First sign-in and the dashboard

How to sign in to your XiroLink bridge, turn on two-factor sign-in and read the dashboard: needs attention, sessions and live prices.

Your bridge runs on its own server with its own address. You can reach it two ways: from the XiroLink portal, or directly with a username and password.

Sign in from the portal

In the XiroLink portal, choose Open bridge. You are signed in to the bridge straight away with a one-time link, and the portal decides your role. Two-factor sign-in for these accounts happens in the portal.

If the link has expired or was already used, the bridge shows Get a new sign-in link: go back to the portal and open the bridge again.

Sign in with a password

Open your bridge's address and enter your Username or Email and Password, then choose Sign in.

  • Invited by a colleague? The invitation email has a link to choose your password. It works for 72 hours. Passwords need at least 8 characters.
  • Forgot your password? Choose Forgot your password?, enter your email and choose Email me a reset link. The link works once, for an hour.

Two-factor sign-in

After your password, the bridge asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator.

The first time, it shows a QR code: scan it with the app, or choose Can't scan? to type the key in, then enter the code and choose Turn on and sign in. After that, you enter the current code each time you sign in.

Two-factor sign-in is required for viewers by default. Admins can turn it on for their own account under Settings → My account.

A session lasts 24 hours.

Admins and viewers

Role Can do
Admin Everything, including users and settings
Viewer See everything, change nothing

Viewers do not see edit buttons, the Users and Notifications settings, or taker connection guides. The sidebar shows Read-only when you are signed in as a viewer.

Find your way around

The sidebar groups every page:

Group Pages
Overview Dashboard, Market watch, Calendar
Connectivity Makers, Takers
Hub Securities, Trading hours, Symbols, Synthetics, Markups
Risk Accounts, Dealing desk
Monitoring Maker status, Taker status, Feed analytics, LP comparison, Alerts
Operations Logs, Security
System Add-ons, Resources, Settings

Press ⌘ K (or Ctrl K) to search for any page, symbol or connection, and ? to see every keyboard shortcut.

The dashboard

The dashboard opens with what needs you now, then what the bridge is doing.

  • Stat cards: uptime, makers online, clients connected, symbols with live prices and messages per second.
  • Headline prices: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, XAUUSD and BTCUSD (or your first symbols), with bid, ask, spread and a sparkline.
  • Needs attention: the problems that matter, worst first, each linking to where you fix it: makers down, takers that cannot accept clients, symbols with no maker or no ticks, takers with no symbols, accounts low on margin, and connections rejected in the last 24 hours. When there is nothing to fix it says All clear.
  • Market sessions: each trading hours profile, open or closed, with when it next opens or closes.
  • Live prices: a table of every symbol with bid, ask, spread and the time of the last price.

On a new bridge, admins also see a Get your bridge running checklist. Follow it, or read the setup checklist.
